Team Chi-den: No Worse Friend, No Better Enemy
What do the Intelligence Leaks Tell us about the State of U.S. Alliances and Our Enemies’ Calculations?
WASHINGTON — In recent days, what are presented as some fifty leaked classified documents have become the subject of a global, strategic feeding frenzy involving, among others, America’s friends and foes, alike. While the authenticity of at least a subset of these materials is in question, others are evidently actual reports on U.S. assessments and operations involving sensitive subjects around the world.
The next Committee on the Present Danger: China (CPDC) webinar, “Team Chi-den: No Worse Friend, No Better Enemy,” will assess both the damage being done by such unauthorized disclosures as well as what they say about the state of the U.S. relations with allied nations and America’s posture vis-à-vis a growing number of hostile ones. The webinar will take place today, April 13, from 1-2:15 p.m. ET.
