Frank is joined by Ron Armstrong of Stand Up Michigan and retired Colonel Rob Maness to discuss Michigan’s Senate race, Chinese influence in the state, analysis of meetings involving former USAID employees, and military resilience.
Ron discusses Democrat nominee Abdulrahman El-Sayed’s narrow primary win, his associations, and disputes over his statements, credentials, and positions. He examines how the race is playing across Michigan, including Muslim communities in Dearborn and Hamtramck, college towns, Black communities, and union households, and argues that turnout will be central to the outcome. The conversation also turns to China’s presence in the state, including local opposition to a proposed battery plant and concerns about Chinese purchases of land near military facilities, manufacturing, and investments tied to Chinese companies. He praises Representative John Moolenaar’s work on China-related issues and discusses efforts to limit investment in companies connected to the Chinese government.
Rob discusses researcher Jennica Pounds, known online as Data Republican, and her analysis of meetings involving former USAID employees and other groups. He describes the meetings as planning for a response to possible election-related actions by the Trump administration, including efforts to challenge the government’s legitimacy and restructure the Constitution. He also discusses reported involvement by former national-security figures, state officials, foreign participants, and federal employees.
The conversation addresses whether the activities could lead to violence and the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act. On military readiness, Rob assesses Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s plan for major U.S. military facilities to sustain operations independently for 90 days, saying this is feasible and referring to an earlier proposal for a base microgrid and small modular reactors, while noting that resilience would also require cybersecurity measures.

Robert Spencer: Polygamy
"If we were to enforce laws on polygamy, we would catch a lot of jihadis, because the jihadis are Sharia adherent" Robert Spencer
In its 1890 decision, the Supreme Court made clear that Utah could not become a state while the Mormon Church practiced polygamy.
Religious freedom did not override the principle that American women are not commodities.
The same standard applies today: Muslims may practice their faith freely except where it contradicts American law.
Enforcing the existing polygamy ban would identify many serious Sharia adherents.

Robert Spencer: Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed
"I can't see how somebody could profess allegiance to Sharia and swear that oath to uphold the Constitution" Robert Spencer
Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed: A figure with a consistent public record of Sharia adherence and Muslim Brotherhood alignment now claims loyalty to the Constitution.
Taqiyya, the religiously sanctioned practice of deception for tactical ends, cannot be dismissed.
Sharia’s political and supremacist character is incompatible with an oath to a constitution that protects equal rights rather than Islamic supremacy.

Frank is joined by Robert Spencer to discuss Islamic law and tradition, the Muslim Brotherhood, mosques, and the compatibility of Sharia with the U.S. Constitution.
Robert argues that Islamic law and tradition are inherently political and expansionist, and he rejects a distinction between Islam and political forms of it. He says Muslims who reject these political elements are a minority and may face condemnation within their communities. The conversation turns to mosques, which he characterizes as centers for religious instruction and political activity. He cites the Muslim Brotherhood’s 1991 explanatory memorandum as describing mosques as part of a strategy to Islamize surrounding areas, and notes that arrangements placing them near infrastructure or security facilities do not surprise him.
He describes the Muslim Brotherhood as founded in Egypt in 1928 to restore the caliphate, which he defines as a unified Islamic government. Its objectives may be pursued through political activity, infiltration, propaganda, and other means as well as armed conflict. The discussion examines whether adherence to Sharia is compatible with the U.S. Constitution. Robert argues that it is not, and calls for religious practices that violate American law to be restricted. He cites polygamy and female genital mutilation as examples and criticizes what he describes as political reluctance to confront such practices. He also addresses a Michigan political candidate, saying the public record warrants skepticism while acknowledging that actual loyalties are not known. In the final section, he discusses cooperation between left-wing movements and Islamic groups, describing both as authoritarian and sharing opposition to the United States and Western civilization, while warning that their goals may ultimately conflict. He criticizes the prospect of Sharia-adherent political candidates holding office and refers to Muslim political representation as part of a broader strategy of electoral jihad.
