Secure Freedom Minute: Hooray for “Operation Economic Outcast”

Yesterday was Economic D-Day for Iran. Just as the success of World War II’s kinetic one ultimately destroyed Hitler’s regime, this one must finally liberate the Iranian people from their sharia-supremacist oppressors in Tehran. 

In unveiling “Operation Economic Outcast,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declared that, “Beginning today, the actions of Treasury and other agencies will…block every potential source of revenue that funds the IRGC and the Iranian regime. We are enforcing a zero-leakage approach. There will be no minimal breathing space for the regime to rebuild its capacity to inflict terror against America and the world.”

Particularly heartening is Secretary Bessent’s affirmation that President Trump will apply such intensified economic restrictions universally, including secondary sanctions on “those who tether themselves to Tehran” and, therefore, “should expect to share in the isolation of a withering regime.”
