Secure Freedom Minute: Make Jihad a Capital Offense

Yesterday, President Trump determined that a sharia-supremacist named Major Nidal Hasan will be executed by firing squad for his murderous attack on fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas nineteen years ago.

This long-overdue capital punishment is entirely appropriate given the nature of Hasan’s crime. It was not simply a heinous felony. Neither was it an act of “terrorism” or “violent extremism.”

It was jihad – the “holy war” commanded by Islam’s political-military-legal strategy for conquest known as sharia. 

Jihadis view our failure swiftly to punish their attacks as weakness and submission. Under sharia, they are obliged to  respond by redoubling their efforts to make the unbelievers “feel subdued.”

Especially as a Red-Green axis between Communists and jihadists seeking the destruction of our country is being embraced by Democrats, we must reinforce deterrence of such violence and, failing that, punish it severely.
