Secure Freedom Minute: The Open Border is ”Breaking” America, Too

California Governor Gavin Newsom is a man consumed by ambition. He wants to become president and impose nationwide the radical leftist policies that have “fundamentally transformed” – and devastated – his state.

Look no further than Newsom’s welcome of millions of illegal immigrants to California. The increasingly unsustainable costs, both financial and societal, for that state are a cautionary tale for the rest of the country. Yet the Governor – like his fellow Democrats in Sacramento and Washington – has pretended the endless influx of so-called “non-traditional migrants” is no problem. Until now.

This week, Gavin Newsom acknowledged that the present approach to immigration “is not working” and the vast human surge being invited by imminently ending federal pandemic- related restrictions would “break” his state. If even he is sounding the alarm, we must shut down the border now – not persist in policies that are breaking America.
