On Friday, America lost one of its most brilliant, impactful and indefatigable patriots, Peter Vincent Pry. Over forty years of service, both in government and out, he provided national leadership on the need to correct the vulnerabilities of our most critical of critical infrastructures, the electric grid – and how to do so. Dr. Pry…
The Biden presidency has brought us, among many other afflictions, an open border with Mexico. Communities across our nation are grappling with the societal, economic and security implications of the millions of mostly unvetted aliens who have entered the country illegally – the majority of them unaccompanied, military-age men. In addition to the obvious impact…
Ed Dowd is one of Wall Street’s most highly regarded analysts. Yesterday, he warned Steve Bannon’s audience that “China is collapsing.” He added that, “Internally, [the Chinese Communists] are going to have to create an enemy outside of China to rally people around.” Unfortunately, the Chinese Communist Party has already created that enemy – and…
Liz Cheney’s electoral rejection as the sole representative in the U.S. House of the people of Wyoming shows that a condition known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” which she has increasingly manifested, can be politically fatal. For those of us who have worked in the past with Rep. Cheney and her similarly afflicted father, this transformation…
There’s talk we’ll face this fall new outbreaks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Or perhaps, the Chinese Communist Party will subject us to an even worse virus than the one that’s killed a million of us so far. The Committee on the Present Danger: China is exploring in a webinar at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time…
Question: Did the dozens of FBI agents who rummaged through former President Trump’s Florida home do something more there than remove large quantities of sensitive documents? White House official-turned talk show host Sebastian Gorka told Steve Bannon’s “War Room Pandemic” show last week that a recently retired twenty-three year veteran of the Bureau asserted:…
We once were told that Merrick Garland was a great Supreme Court nominee as he had “unwavering fidelity to the rule of law.” Indeed, when now-Attorney General Garland announced yesterday that he had personally authorized the FBI raid on former President Trump’s home, he declared, “Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock…
On Friday, the House of Representatives is expected to authorize the hiring of 87,000 armed IRS investigators, supposedly to pursue corporate and wealthy tax-cheats. In fact, under President Biden, this doubling of that agency’s current workforce of 90,000 employees will amount to a huge new cohort empowered to use not only unwarranted audits to intimidate…
A profoundly troubling Committee on the Present Danger: China webinar yesterday assessed President Biden’s takedown of America’s armed forces. As the prospect looms of kinetic war with the Chinese Communist Party, the cumulative effects of his ideological purges, insane vaccine mandates, the ravages of inflation and indoctrination that America is not a nation worth dying…
For 18 months, we have been told that a far-right group known as “Oath Keepers” seeks to overthrow the U.S. government. It seems that others, who might be called “Oath Breakers,” pose a far greater threat to our Republic. Yesterday’s FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home is the latest evidence that Democratic politicians…
Congressional Democrats have cynically adopted a deceptively entitled “Inflation Reduction Act.” It would be more accurate to call it the “Help China Win Act.” Americans will suffer and the Chinese Communist Party will benefit as independent economists say inflation will be undiminished – notably, devastating defense spending. Moreover, the Act will advance the CCP’s agenda…
Historian Barbara Tuckman’s account of how this month in 1914 was marked by military mobilizations and maneuvers that set the stage for World War I was called The Guns of August. Welcome to the missiles of August. In recent days, the Chinese Communist Party has accompanied live-fire exercises effectively blockading Taiwan with ballistic missiles sent…
The Chinese Communist Party has effectively begun its invasion of Taiwan with live-fire air and naval exercises surrounding the island, including some within Taiwan’s exclusive economic zone. This would seem to be a bad time for U.S. government employees and military personnel to have their retirement savings invested in CCP companies. Yet, as an…
Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan didn’t cause a crisis with the Chinese Communist Party. Rather, it has simply brought into sharp focus a long-ignored reality: The CCP is at war with America. As it happens, that’s the title of a book published last month by the Center for Security Policy’s Team B. It’s available for…
The liquidation by drone strike of Osama bin Laden’s successor is a welcome tactical victory for America’s intelligence and military personnel. Sadly, it also reminds us of the magnitude of the strategic defeat we suffered at the hands of their Commander-in-Chief a year ago. Consider the following facts: Ayman al-Zawahiri was operating in Afghanistan’s capital.…
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Will she or won’t she? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is traveling in Asia, but hasn’t confirmed whether her itinerary will include Taiwan. It’s better. After all, China’s dictator Xi Jinping has made this a throw- down and President Biden is, once again, in full appeasement mode.…
Joe Biden is a disgrace. It’s bad enough that the president of the United States is seen to be increasingly demented and clearly incapable of performing the duties of his office. Worse yet, his characteristic irresolution and personal corruption is surely encouraging our country’s greatest enemy ever, the Chinese Communist Party, to believe that it…
Of all the toxic things the Biden wrecking operation has inflicted on our country, one of the most corrosive is its relentless, further undermining of the principle of “equal justice under law.” In practice, this entails federal law enforcement treating dramatically differently alleged wrongdoing by prominent Republicans and Democrats. The latest examples involve the Justice…
A new McLaughlin poll commissioned by our Committee on the Present Danger: China has several impressive – and potentially politically consequential – findings: First, 60 percent of those sampled agreed that the Chinese Communist Party deliberately unleashed the COVID-19 virus on the world. Second, 60 percent also agreed that the CCP should be held accountable…
Every American has a stake in the answer to this question: Should infants as young as six-months-old be injected with the Covid vaccines the Food and Drug Administration has recently approved? After all – even if you are not the parent of a child now eligible to receive vaccines authorized by the FDA without adequate…
