Five Republican Senators used floor time yesterday to denounce one of their colleagues, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville – endorsing Biden administration claims that the man known as “Coach” and his “hold” blocking the wholesale approval of promotions for senior officers are endangering national security. In fact, Coach Tuberville’s hold, initially prompted by the Defense Department’s illegal use…
FBI Director Christopher Wray warned Congress yesterday that, “We are in a dangerous period [as]…multiple terrorist organizations have called for attacks against Americans and the West.” Worse yet, when asked if any such groups were operating in the United States, Wray responded, “Well, we’re not tracking that.” What the FBI has been tracking are patriotic Americans who…
In a Russian provincial capital this weekend, a mob invaded the airport intent on tearing Jewish passengers limb from limb. That wasn’t just an example of resurgent anti-Semitism in the tradition of virulent pogroms conducted in that neighborhood for centuries. It was an example of jihadist bloodlust commanded by the Islamic doctrine of Sharia. Fortunately,…
The recent spate of pro-Hamas riots is just the latest reminder that, under Joe Biden, America no longer has a functioning counter-intelligence capability. For example, we have no idea how many tens of thousands of Chinese special forces warriors have entered our country through Biden’s open borders. Ditto jihadists. Or the extent of the weaponized…
President Biden engaged yesterday in outreach to one of his core constituencies: the Muslim Brotherhood. He met privately with five so-called “American Arab and Muslim leaders” including: Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison; Wa’el Alzayat of Emgage, a political mobilization operation; and interfaith influence-operator Imam Mohamed Magid. Each has personal and/or organizational associations with the Brotherhood,…
Congratulations to newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, a man with a well-deserved reputation as a principled, conservative and courageous legislator! At least as important, he’s a man of integrity – all qualities the times urgently require. For example, in his previous role as a Louisiana representative, Mr. Johnson secured the adoption of a resolution encouraging that…
A “Biden Doctrine” has emerged. It is characterized by a single word: Surrender. It turns out that Joe Biden’s humiliating surrender of Afghanistan was not an exception; it has become the rule. He has surrendered our southern border to dangerous cartels and to Chinese Communists and jihadists exploiting it. Biden has surrendered to Iran’s mullahs…
House Republicans’ inability to select a Speaker dominates the news from Capitol Hill. But one of the distinct upsides of Kevin McCarthy’s removal deserves our attention – and applause. After that Speaker’s ousting, the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party launched a long-overdue investigation it hadn’t pursued during his rule. On October 17th, the…
Donald Trump recently decried the secretive negotiations the Biden administration and other friends of the Chinese Communist Party are pursuing to supplant our constitutional Republic with a new “global governance” system run by the CCP-controlled World Health Organization. Tomorrow, a House subcommittee investigating the Chinese Communists’ COVID biological warfare attack will have an opportunity to examine the…
Amidst the growing carnage wrought by Team Biden’s policy failures in Ukraine, Israel and the U.S. borders, scant attention has been paid to what may prove to be its most disastrous betrayal of the national interest of all. Largely hidden from public scrutiny and without a single vote approving such sedition, Obama-Biden 3.0 is beavering…
Fresh from his whirlwind visit to Israel, Joe Biden, will provide tonight a report on the war there. It’s unlikely to be either a complete or honest rendering. After all, that would require him to take substantial responsibility for this conflict. While Beijing and Tehran enabled their Hamas proxy’s genocidal invasion, none of that would…
With “friends” like Joe Biden, Israel needs no enemies. On the eve of Biden’s self-invited visit to the Jewish State, our Center for Security Policy Senior Fellow Caroline Glick has issued a searing video indictment that exposes his fraudulent professions of support for Israel’s right to self-defense and his administration’s serial betrayals of our vital interests in…
Today, the Republican majority of the House of Representatives will confer upon Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio the position of Speaker. At least that will be the case if the GOP caucus recognizes both the character of this leader, the opportunity his election represents to unify the party’s fractious membership and the necessity of, yes,…
Israel’s Fighting our War, Too This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. It is now widely recognized that the terrorist group Hamas is indistinguishable from the terrorist group ISIS. Both believe their god mandates the use of violent jihad to destroy all unbelievers and achieve the global triumph of Islamic rule. Consequently, just…
Hamas Equals ISIS – and the Muslim Brotherhood This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Who committed the genocidal attacks against Israel last weekend? The answer is, of course, Hamas, the terrorist group that controls Gaza and has called on Muslim sympathizers elsewhere to rise up today in solidarity with their…
Amidst the violent conflagrations raging in eastern Europe and now the Middle East, the role of an “arsonist” in a position to have sparked them has gone largely unremarked. Chinese Communist emperor Xi Jinping is not only arguably the principal beneficiary of the invasions of Ukraine and Israel. Prior to their launch, Vladimir Putin and…
Yesterday, Joe Biden reiterated American solidarity with Israel and sought to deter Iran, another of its terrorist proxies, Hezbollah, and others from interfering with Israel’s retaliation for Saturday’s murderous invasion by Hamas. Unfortunately, Biden’s credibility is sorely lacking as his administration had actively contributed to conditions that prompted that horrific attack. It relentlessly conveyed hostility…
Horrifying videos taken by Palestinian “journalists” accompanying Saturday’s surprise invasion have documented a genocide perpetrated against the equivalent in a population of Israel’s size of 40,000 Americans. Three things are clear: First, there is no negotiating with enemies determined to destroy the Jewish people and their state. Surrendering land like Gaza in the hope of…
Joe Biden insists the U.S. stands with Israel – and we must. But, as with Ukraine, he invited this war by not standing with the target of aggression before it happens. Indeed, Biden has relentlessly undermined Israel since taking office. Until last month, he refused to meet with her leader. He’s encouraged Palestinian ambitions by: restoring funding that supports terrorists…
Futile exercises are often likened to “closing the barn door after the horse is gone.” Joe Biden’s belated efforts to mitigate his destruction of our southern border are akin to shutting it after a herd of Trojan horses have gotten in. Suddenly, as Democratic politicians repudiate previous commitments to make their constituencies sanctuaries for countless people euphemistically called…
